Simply put, Rottweilers are feared and intimidating dogs. If a bad actor knows there are a couple of Rottweilers in a residence, they will likely choose an easier target. Pit Bulls are feared (usually for the wrong reasons), but they don’t normally have the size and bulk that Rottweilers have.
